The Brady Center has given WI a ranking of the 41st (tied with FL) "worst" State gun laws in the USA. We have a "score" of 3 out of a possible 100. C'mon, if we can lose one more point, we can move into a 7-way tie for 47th place, along with Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, which all have a score of 2. Arizona, Alaska, and Utah are tied for 50th, with a score of zero (no State has a score of 1).

WI gets it's 3 points here: 2 pts for "Record keeping and retention" (listed under gun dealer regulations), and 1 point for "Colleges are not forced to allow firearms on campus".

FWIW... Brady gives neighboring States these scores: Illinois ranks 9th (35pts), Michigan ranks 11th (25 pts), Minnesota ranks 17th (14 pts), and Iowa ranks 25th (7 pts). #1 ranking belongs to California (no surprise here) which Brady gives 81 pts... followed by New Jersey (72pts), Mass.(65pts), New York (62), Conn.(58), Hawaii (50).

I'd strongly advise you to not "explore" their website any further if you've recently eaten, or vomit easily.

You should un-hotlink them.

The mere presence of the hotlink could cause your puter to crap its hard drive out.

Good idea. Thanks. It's done.

I don't see either of those being hot button political topics. Would canning the wasteful and redundant state handgun background check be more useful even if it doesn't win us any points on the Brady Scale?

Even Mitt doesn't think we need a waiting period. It drives me nuts to have to make multiple trips to pick something up when my background check is ok'd immediately.
