Weather pending, I'll be there. We usually make a weekend of it, starting with breakfast at Paul Bunyan's in the Dells Saturday morning. Here's my ride:

I'm there. The wife will be with. I ride a boring 1600cc Yamaha Roadstar Silverado Silver Edition.

And the bulge in my pants isn't my pistol...

Well, so much for that... A few sprinkles is one thing, but pouring rain, no thanks

It was hailing pretty good here in Janesville around 9-10am. Wouldnt matter if I wanted to go anyways. Didnt get back from the hospital until 5am. The hail woke me up.

Ya'll are a bunch of sallys. Hail, lightning, wind, standing water, nothing stopped us. I felt like I pissed my pants all day because I was wearing chaps.

Yeah I was a sally today. I've done my share of riding in pouring rain and heavy winds. It's not fun walking around soaked head to toe and even less fun getting hit with a 50mph crosswind in the pouring rain on a sportbike.

Good on you for toughin' it out though. I suppose there were only a few dozen people at Pine Bluff or Leland?

I'm still young and dumb. It probably wasn't smart to go but it was my first time. pine bluff had about 30-40 bikes. Leland had about half. There were about 10 cop cars there. When I got home I was tired, cold and had a bad headache. I'm glad we went. You only live once.

Theres always the oct one also.

I love riding in rain myself. But hail and lightning are two things I avoid at all costs. Had a huge hail storm here years ago. golf ball size. Went out with my leather (with hard armor) sportbike coat and an old helmet to grab some for my 8yr old niece who was inside. Even wearing the coat the hail hurt like crazy. Rung in the helmet also.

Hell I've rode through snow storms.

But if your in madison, come on down to Blackhawk Farms May 19-20 for the races. Sunday is cheaper to get in, $15. I'll be racing (assuming I pass the school sat).

The sport bike thing isn't me. I never did like riding on my shoulders. My first bike was a sportster which I rode harder than most people ride their "sport bikes". The Yamaha I ride now is comfy and has all sorts of power. A two hour ride is like hanging out on the couch. I like that style a little more.

My yzf you can sit pretty much upright like a standard if you want. I find it ok for 500 miles. More than that (and with me its with any bike) I have to get off for a while. I dont get into just one style of bike anyways. Hell I'll ride any bike (except dirt bikes, I have trouble standing over them.)
