VT hoodie march flops
Funny, I don't remember having time to rally during my five years at Tech....I was too busy studying, working, and chasing tail.

I didn't see them, but my roommate did. Said it looked pretty bad.
Yeah I don't remember any protests back in my day.
This, on top of the new gun rules passed by the board of visitors has me not too happy with my alma mater .
Student sheeple.
Maybe someone can make a "Hoodie 2012" video then post it for everyone on Facebook to "like".

Trayvon was "lynched" huh? Good to know....thank you for playing the race card...have a nice day.
I've never heard of a "White Hispanic" until this incident. Does that mean Obama is a "White African-American"? Or is that term only used when it is convenient to make white people look bad? Well, in Obama's case... never mind...

Doesn't lynching mean a mob or at least more than one BG?
When you're totally ignorant, definitions to words no longer matter. They mean whatever you want them to mean for any particular situation.
Remember, it's your FEELINGS that count most!

No it looks like the Wookie is going to give the commencement address.

Don't hold it against us. The EE program at Tech is world class.
<–– VT grad, not in engineering though.

Damn right.
It's pretty much the same as any other college in Virginia. Yeah it sucks you can't carry, but I love it here!
Back in the early 1980s they tried a 'Blue Jean day' for gay support.
Never new that everyone still owned cords till then.

Hispanic is actually an ethnicity, and not a race, therefore you can be a white/black/or Asian hispanic, at least according to the government.
Let keep all the Trayvon talk in GD, please and thank you.

IIRC This is true as long as you consider your culture to be of hispanic origin. By that meaning anyone who can trace any part of their origin or culture to the spanish or portuguase(Spelling?) can say I am Hispanic and you can not argue against them. I think it was the censis people who gave it such a broad definition... Since the Mexican culture speaks spanish (Although I have a friend from spain who would argue against that) they can say I am hispanic...

Tell your friend that cathtillian thoundth funny

I was at VT 97-01 and never saw any rallies of this type. It was for the most part as apolitical as a public university could get. Students as a whole weren't as brainwashed and encouraged to be activist a few yrs back. This summer is going to get real intersting on a national scale.
