Chiropractors in Hampton Roads?
Anyone know a good one? Preferably one that does a military or LEO discount?
I appreciate that however my back injuries are more severe, and anything that stave off having multiple spine fusion surgeries is a good thing.
Im a doctor . PhD, not MD
I will amputate anything. No charge.
That being said, I am friends with the Mcleans at
LightForce Chiro in VB . Nice people. No idea about .mil discounts tho.

Purple and it tickles.
wow this thread has really devolved quickly, i'm just gonna stop...
SO, chiropractors?
Why not just stay with the military chiropractors?
If you 'get out', Michael Kisner in Martinsburg, WV.
Man can make your body do all kinds of drum solo's, and has you dancing to the beat when you leave.
Well worth the $$ per visit.

There is no such animal. I've heard rumors that the AF has some as contractors at a couple of their bases for trials, but the Army? Ha! Never happen.

Army doesn't have them, but you're authorized off base use of them through Tricare. At least they did back before I got out in '08

The Army may not, but I know they're at Oceana and NMCP. Shouldn't be a problem getting a referral from an Army MTF if you're in the area.
Dependents do NOT qualify for Tricare chiropractors, only AD.
Lynnhaven Chiropractic. Tracy Sawyer will do good by you.
Your call I suppose, but if I had spinal issues of the nature and severity that warranted discussion of a multilevel fusion, I'd be pretty hesitant to let a chiropractor futz around with it. In fact, I'd guess that a "reputable" chiropractor would say the same thing.

Yeah, that's a good point. I couldn't tell if he was being serious or sarcastic in that post.
OP, I just checked it today. Oceana doesn't come up, but there still is a chiro clinic at NMCP. Your PCM should be able to pull it up as a consult.

Yup. A good one will take the x-rays, discuss your situation and say "nope"

They have their place...and I mostly go now for the neuromuscular stuff (massage) to loosen up my neck.
If there's something they can do...they'll let you know. If not, they'll suggest a specialist.

well, two fractured vertebrae, two ruptured disks, a compressed disc, and then at minimum a compressed disk in my lower neck. Not exactly fun happy times. The saving grace is that some are lower back, some are upper, so the upper ones dont bother me that much.
Because i'm guard, i dont think NCMP is an option, but i will be taking you guys suggestions. my current chiropractors in FXBG and she's my sister in law, so she definitely wouldnt do anything to me that would put me out of commission... as long as i'm good to my wife that is...

That sounds like it's squarely in the realm of a neurosurgeon. That doesn't mean you get surgery right off the bat, you can can try conservative treatment (including ESIs and PT) that they can oversee. If you do end up getting surgery, go to a neurosurgeon, not an orthopaedic who claims to do back/neck surgery. The difference in their respective levels of training is significant as it applies to spinal surgery.
The wife uses Sherri Wright out in York County and she's been very good for her. Relatively cheap. I say relatively cause I really have no idea what prices are for these services.
