Norton, Virginia
Anyone been to Norton, VA?
My wife was offered a contract to do some temp work at the community hospital. Money is tight so we may have to take it.
Anyone know what it is like there? All I can find out through the internet is that it is a small town. Has some black bears.
It it safe? I think it is near Appalachia.
Is it a pain to drive there? Road conditions?
It's a 7 hour drive from NoVA to that western part of VA near the Tennessee Kentucky border.

Went to college in the next town other. Norton Community is a tiny hospital, but I've always had good experiences though.
Lots of hiking fishing and huntijg within an hour in any direction.
Look for a house in Big Stone Gap, beautiful town, cheap, and safe. Only a 15 minute drive from Norton.
