Just saw a Facebook post the my Battalion lost a Marine the other day.
"The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Lance Cpl. Ramon T. Kaipat, 22, of Tacoma, Wash., died April 11, 2012 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif."
Didn't know him, but he's a Highlander. Thats all that counts.
