Cougar grabed a turkey hen this morning at my back fence. My old dog lost it's trail after1/4 mile.
Followed a trail of feathers for about 100 yds. Found a head and one wingwhere the trail ws lost.
Woods so thick you could not see 20yds in any direction.
definately a mountain lion

Oh, BS! There ain't no such thing as mountain lions in Oklahoma.
My son told me he saw one going to Enid the other morning, walking along the highway.
But of course, we all know they are just passing through Oklahoma and don't live here.
I guess the one my son saw and the recent one hit on the highway at Minco were just trying to hitch a ride through the state.

I guess it's time to drag out the 30/06 or the 45/70 lever gun.

Do you ever belive what the State WD said at Mountain Lions in Oklahoma , Not ! Seen track at Hayburn lake deer hunting and one ran across the road in front of me just north of 111st and south of Polecat Creek on Elwood in Jenks seven years ago , just wait when someone see some kittens and takes some good picture .
They are here and will be here. I think the .45-70 would be a great choice

I was hopeing to get some plaster casts of the foot prints, but the leaf litter is ten inches deep in the woods where he went.
No hair on the fences he crossed.

Monday morning one of the truck drivers dropping off a delivery said he saw one dead along the side of I-40. It was between El Reno and Weatherford if I heard him correctly.
ETA: could have been the same one at Minco.
