What to do for a week...

Howdy from Texas.

The GF has committed us for a fun filled week in a Delaware beach house... with her sister's family from the Peoples Republic Kalifornia and her mom, who is retired from 38 years of working for a string of three letter agencies. We've previously done the DC thing, the museums, seen the forts, and that sort of thing. I'm thinking 6 days with assorted screaming kids and liberals is going to get old.

What is there to do for a god fearing, gun-less Texan in this neck of the woods? Shooting ranges that rent guns? Sporting Clays courses?

Go down to Rehobeth and get a Russian girl for a threesome.
Avail yourself to the awesome Nazi weirdness of Steele's gun shop.
Meet some nice gay people.
Go to the Italian deli on Baltimore Street and demand the finest meats and cheeses.
Buy shit with no sales tax.
Run up to Bridgeville and shoot.
Gorge on crabs, salt water taffy and caramel corn.

I wanna party with you! Not in the threesome, though I'm up for one, just not with you.

Obongo probably fucked up the visas but every Summer there is a huge wave of cute college age Eastern European girls that get imported to the resort area for seasonal labor.
It's awesome, many of them look like super models and it keeps the area relatively unpigmented.
About three a year get whacked riding their bikes down Rt. 1.

As the resident beer geek, I feel the need to point out that Dogfish Head is one of the top 10 breweries in the world and that you want to go on the brewery tour and eat at the pub at least one night.

Also, you're going to want to hit Cape Henlopen State Park. Maybe you're not into birds, but trust me, it's nice.

You can also rent kayaks or go on a guided tour/float. Quest Fitness runs about $60/person for a day on the water with everything included, and you can do it cheaper if you go a la carte and just rent boats and provide your own transportation. I've been twice before buying my own boats, and they're good folks.

Historic Lewes isn't bad. If you want to spend some time with an older (and calmer) crowd, walk around, go to "antique" stores, get an ice cream, that sort of thing, go up to Lewes for the day.

If you want a younger-but-still-drinking-age crowd, go on down to Ocean City. Hit the clubs for a night or something. It's one of the things you might as well do once in your life, though nothing is anything special. OC is larger than Rehobeth/Lewes, and it attracts more college kids. They are tight on drinking age, though, so don't expect to get the little counsins in anyplace or anything like that. Then again, I haven't been there in... shoot, has it been 10 years? Man, I'm getting old.

Sounds like some viable options here...along with checking out the sporting clays range mentioned by ColonelHurtz...I'll have to see if they rent, because we will be spending a day or two in Baltimore, so no bringing the toys along.

You can shoot all you want in Baltimore, anywhere, anything.
Hoops, heroin, handguns. Shoot away.
Hell, our cops shoot each other and heroin.
