Hey guys. Im sure this has been gone over about 500 times but was I wrong to think that maybe there were some deals to be had at the 1500. This is the third time in a row that all I have seen is guns priced right at what you can buy them for at a gun shop any other time of year and no one coming off of any prices.

I went looking for a 18in Remington 870 barrel and wanted to spend around 100 bucks. New, used, it didnt matter to me as long as they were in decent shape. I see them on the EE new and used from 75-120 bucks. I found 3 at the show. All wanted between 130-140. I offered 110 for one that was very lightly used and came with the factory box. He wouldnt come down from 10 fucking dollars for a cash on the spot buy. I left empty handed and 10 dollars less in my pocket.

I think he is referring to the admission price.

I didn't realize there was a show this weekend.

Deals, or at least decent: $599 unfired AR (Surplus Arms lower, Del-Ton flat top) near the door, $20 medium Alice packs with frame, $2 molle double AR mag pouches and a bunch of other good milsurp gear deals at Rocks Surplus (right against the north wall, halfway down- he was very cool by the way, we chatted and he threw $12 worth of free pouches in with my modest $40 purchase), $439 XD's at ZXGuns (south east corner), MRE entrees less than $2ea from the MRE dude (south west corner), $1100 LE6920's at Midwest Gun Exchange (west end), $54 and Kershaw Blurs and three or four $12 used CRKT M16-01KZ's (somewhere in the middle).

Other stuff I happen to remember: $79 Surplus Arms stripped lowers, $99 Spikes stripped lowers, $219 DPMS complete lowers, WASR's $469, WASR UF's for $479, $600 CAI Bulgarian AK in 5.45 (lol- compare to Wideners), some cheap commercial NVG's, three or four guys with body armor plates, the medical supplies guy, walk around guy with a WECSOGed Yugo RPK for $800.

I70 is a little messed up on the west side, but not too bad.

Ten years ago, it seemed that guns and ammo were usually cheaper at gun shows. For at least the last five years, it seems that gun shows are the same price as local gun shops or sometimes even higher. If I go to a gun show nowadays, it's just to look at things that the local shops might not have in stock. I don't expect to find any deals any more and I'd rather spend my money with some guy who has a shop and will remember me the next time I come in looking for something.

The internet and online shopping has an effect on my gun show shopping habits. I can fight off impulse buys if i know I cam buy cheaper online, plus I have a better idea on what is considered a deal.

1000 tables of mainly the same stuff over and over again. :/

I bought some ammo, and picked up my can from Corey, though, so not a wasted trip!

Guys at Midwest tables said it was slow, but typically this show is slower than the later ones.

I had a holster made by Raven Concealment for my HK P30 with a Viridian laser. Those are hard to find when you are a lefty, Then I went to the midwest reptile show and bought the biggest snake they had for our Haunted house (Fritelodge) It is a 7 1/2ft red tail boa. It is as big around as a softball. That should make a few people wet them self
