made the 1 hour trip over to the 400 outlet malls last week, dropped the wife off, and proceeded back over to 400 J&L. picked up a leupold VX-R 1.25-4 and a trijicon/bobro mount. hadn't planned on spending any money. thanks 400.

That place is a black hole for my wallet. Love it there and it had Beene go to place for five years now. I can't wait for their new gun megastore to open in the summer.
Grabbed a sling from there this weekend, while looking for a M&P shield. Good folks, and have a bunch of nice glass in the case. I think I drooled a little bit.
I have one of those Leupold VX-R Patrols in a LaRue mount. It is a fantastic scope and very versatile for CQB and shooting out to 100 yards. Much cheaper than an Aimpoint and 3X or 4X magnifiers.
last time I was there I had an employee tell me that all SF guys use .45's and that if you shoot it at somebody it will get their attention
that was the first time I'd been since the D man left
That is funny. I can't say I agree. Most SOF guys I have met use 9mm and .40 S&W. Glocks and Sigs.
