There are quite a few different cabin rental companies in this area. Is there one that is the best as far as cabin location, cleanliness and customer service ? Would Gatinburg be a better area for rentals ?

We rented from Sugar Maple Cabins and were very happy with our cabin.
We were about 5 minutes drive from the Gatlinburg strip.

We had a pool table, tv and dvd players in each room, satellite tv, jacuzzi, alarm system, and a fully stocked kitchen.

The place was very clean, and we will stay with them again.

I'm looking at this Cabin Rental company after several hours of online reading.

Check out voluteer cabin rentals in Wears Valley. They're to the West of Gatlinburg, maybe 10-15 mins out, and are terrific. We've stayed there a few times, both with and without the kids. Lots of different options to choose from, cabins are all clean, prices were all very reasonable. They're far enough from the hustle and bustle of town to enjoy the mountains and close enough to run in for dinner or supplies.

I think That is the company we booked for our vacation cabin. Aunt or auntie something or other. When you heading out there?

Just got back from 3 night stay using Sunset Cottage Rentals. Have used them a few times before and once again was pleased.

Going to go back probably in June and use them again. Be sure to read the added fees for whatever rental place you are looking at. We rented a one bedroom plus loft cabin for three nights. It was $100 a night, but there is a special right now where you rent two nights and get one free. So the $200 stay after all fees and taxes ended up being $330 something.

Edit: I avoid Gatlinburg like the plague. Not sure that Pigeon Forge is that much better. If you have to do any running, do it during the week. Saturday traffic was horrible, try to avoid the outlet stores on the weekend if possible. We left early Sunday morning so it was not that bad.
