Thanks alot for the warning for the rolling stop. I seen you but it was too late to fully stop. You had me dead to rights and I was fully prepared to pay the fine without bitching. My wife couldnt believe it when you said happy birthday either.

May the lord watch over your shoulder.

I have been givin warning a couple of times by Shelby deputies and once by a Memphis officer. Funny how being polite to an officer gets some karma back.

Did he blade 45 degrees and ask for your carry permit? lol. Oh nevermind. That would be Oakland. just kidding.

He was actually pretty cool. Narrow 2 lane road, I signaled when he hit the lights. I already knew it was comming. Parked where he could see me real good and rolled the window down. Had all the info. Asked if I knew why and I said yes and told him. Didn't make any excuse. We were on our way to the zoo.

Seemed like a heck of a good guy.

1st stop sign west of riverdale on rains going towards 78, so if you go that way look out!!

Black cop, shaved head, well built?

This one gave me a warning under the same situation. Great guy, see him almost every morning when I stop for breakfast.

On a side note, WTF was up with the zoo today? Took my son and had to walk pretty much from poplar!

I too got a break from a Shelby deputy back in 1998. I was working out near the airport and staying in Bartlett. 0030 I was speeding near to Bartlett, about 12 over. Had a qt of beer in a bag on the passenger seat. He asked if it was open, it wasn't. He told me to slow down and enjoy my beer.

I used to live in that area. I got stopped for not having lights on a car-hauler trailer between Ross and Kirby on Raines. The trailer was borrowed and the plug didn't match my truck. We were helping someone move and trying to get back before dark. I even had someone following with flashers just to be safe. The officer believed me and let me go and told me that if he saw me pulling that trailer again, he give me a ticket.

A week later he pulled into my driveway to ask me about the trailer. Turns out he lived in my neighborhood and needed to borrow a trailer lol.

That's him!! As far as the zoo, every ticket booth had a line out to the curb. 300-500 people I guess, could have been more waiting to get in.

So glad we bought a membership. Went to the exit door and walked right in.
