Best Places on Beale St/ Downtown Memphis?
Going with some buddies to stay in downtown Memphis this weekend. What are some of the best places for food, drinks and music on Beale St and the downtown/riverfront area?
I had a good time at BB Kings club. There was a tight blues band on stage.
Coyote Ugly is a blast.
Great jukebox and the scenery ain't bad either.

I liked going to Pat O'Brians back when I lived there.
My wife is partial to Swig, which is not on Beale St., but not far from there.
Flying Saucer is ok place to have a few drinks. As someone else mentioned, go to Coyote Ugly.

There's much to do there. Funnest city in the state for a good time if you ask me. There's a hole in the wall BBQ joint called Cozy Corner. Make sure you check it out.
Blues City Cafe gets a lot of positive reviews for the food. Rendezvous is another popular tourist trap, but there is better BBQ to be had if that's really important to you. I don't go to Beale St clubs very much, but BB King's is generally considered one of the best. There's also plenty of music to hear just walking up and down the street.
See a baseball game at AutoZone Park, basketball at FedEx Forum, have a drink at the Peabody Hotel bar, take a horse & buggy tour of downtown.
I'd second the Flying Saucer and also recommend Flying Fish on the same block on Union, across from the Peabody.
