Is anyone going to the pistol match this weekend at MSSA?
Is anyone going? I was considering heading there and trying it out for practice.

I'll be out there Sunday for the USPSA match. They're doing IDPA Saturday, but I generally can only burn one day at the range on any given weekend, and besides my IDPA law degree is no longer up to date.

I shoot IDPA so seldom anymore that when the buzzer goes off, I tend to forget the finer points of IDPA law such as Don't Move From Behind Cover With A Unloaded Gun, Pie The Corner and the ever-popular Don't Drop A Mag With Rounds In It.
What kind of round count am I looking at for sunday?

200 rounds. Probably shoot more like 150 but it never hurts to have a cushion.
If you want to go through twice, bring 400 rounds.
I don't think ill go through twice. Is there anything I should know about my first match? Should I just be sure to have my pistol, magazines, and holsters?

Yep, that's about it. Some sunscreen and a cooler with some drinks and snacks will make things more comfortable. You'd want to carry about 40 rounds in mags. Each course of fire averages 30 rounds or so.
First match, just concentrate on doing things safely and pay attention to the ROs.
Results are posted. I would've stuck around to shoot 2nd gun, but I just didn't have it in me yesterday.
I didn't go but turnout was ridonculous for the uspsa match. Wow
