Time for the annual Thanksgiving Blizzard...

Seems like this time every year we get a blizzard or freezing rain or some form of shitty weather, just in time for everyone wanting to travel. My GF is supposed to be flying in from Idaho Falls through SLC and into Rapid. Her flight from IF to SLC is already canceled and she's been re booked onto a later flight that will put her in Rapid at 6:45 PM instead of 11:35 AM. I have a feeling that by then the Rapid airport will be closed due to the weather. We'll see whether or not she can actually get here, and then whether or not we can make it back to Huron before her flight back on Sunday. Spending Thanksgiving in Rapid is starting to look like more of a possibility as I keep checking the weather.

Hopefully everyone else is already wherever they want to be for the weekend, because it sounds like traveling anywhere for the next couple of days is going to be pretty iffy.

I dont think I get to go home this weekend, im going to make my final decision to drive or not tomorrow morning.

I was supposed to be heading out to MN this evening....but looks likr the ice will stop that. Maybe Thursday if possible.

Well me and my GF tried to beat the storm last night. We headed up to central ND for the holidays and left Rapid at about 11:00pm. Didn't get to our destination until 4am. Once we hit the state line there were snow drifts all over the road, and the drifts got bigger as we got closer to Dickinson, to the point where the whole road was covered with a few inches of snow. Didn't see a one car from Newell to New England.

Visibilty was horrible! I grew up in ND so I'm no stranger to shitty driving conditions. We saw a car spun out on an off-ramp right in the middle of the road and as I got closer I could tell it was a vette. How this guy made it as far as he did in a new ZO6 is beyond me. I stopped told him I'll help him get it off the road and he can jump in with us, as soon as he spoke I could tell he was drunk off his ass, I could smell the booze. He said he just wanted to get to "the hotel". I told him that he was 30miles from the nearest one, and then he said "I have to think". I asked him if he had a phone, he did, I offered him a ride again and he declined so I said good luck and drove away. It was a crazy trip home, I'm glad we made it safely.

Yep! Did some today also. If my Form 1 would ever get back on an AK I'm going to SBR, I'd have the barrel chopped, turned and installed and shooting again. Almost four freaking months now. They just keep getting slower and slower.

Had a Form 3 come back in 18 days . At least that end of the NFA world is still moving at a good rate.

I did my dads trust this weekend. He will be sending his first Form 4 out on Mon. Bought himself a can finally!

Good to hear. Once you use one, you'll want one on everything. I want to get one for the .308's. By the time I can, the wait will probably be back up to a year and I'll be close to retirement age.

To bad you dont know any C3 dealers who can hook you up.....

Sheesh. Sounds like my last Form 1 that took 6 months. Of course that was my fault for not putting in ALL the required paperwork.

I'm up to 30 days on my latest one, got fingers crossed that the 6 month mark will be the long end of the wait. First one was 45 days, last was 6 months. Hopefully, it'll drop somewhere in the middle. With ALL the required paperwork this time...

I thought the fukr would be here before this show. I sent all of the stuff in as I always have. They're just getting back to the old days of the one year transfer time it seems. I'm doing my VZ-58 pistol next. I got everything ready to go except for the $200 check.

Anyone heard how the new Sheriff is for signatures yet?

I should have a pretty good line of Gemtech stuff as well as some Thompson Machine Cans. I have a the full line of TacSol Cans and Intergral Barrels inbound but they have not yet arrived, fingers are crossed on those.

Thanks to some of the Dealer promotions going on there will be 7 or 8 cans for sale only at show that are going to be dirt cheap, anyone look for a .338 might wanna stop by .
