So with my job I'm finding out that I'm going to be in the area from 02/27-04/04 and they might not have a place for me to stay at. So I have been thinking of bringing a long the RV for this trip so I would have a place to stay. Every place to rent I have found was going to cost me $400+ a month and I'd have to pay it even during the 4 month I will not be there. Gov housing might or might not have a free place for me(First pick if I can get it.) Hotels/motels are $65 to $77 a night. So I found a place with full hook up for $16 a day. So I would like to know what is the price of propane in the area? I have 2 20lbs on the RV and that covers my heat, cooking and hot water. Might just bring a elec heater to heat the RV up.

Also does anyone know of any places that do RV storage? Thank! Yes I think I might be going crazy for thinking about doing this!

if it is anywhere like it is here anywhere from 13/tank to 31/tank. just depends on where you get it refilled.

is your RV rated for cold weather?

I think you'd have lots of issues with pipes freezing.

I have looked into that and talked to a few people. I was told as long as I keep the inside above freezing with the heater or elec heaters I should not have that problem. I was also told to keep anti-freeze in the toilet.

I have been! I have been thinking this whole thing time and time again. If I can't get the Gov housing then I'm going to have to go with the RV. The RV site I talked to said they would have water running by March.

Leaving Friday night and pulling the RV the whole 1,000 miles by myself. Fun times. Gov housing still has not gotten back to me about an apartment cool part heater in RV runs off elec! Have to buy a new battery as someone stole my last one but left the two 20lbs propane tanks. Bad part about the battery is they cut the cables off about a foot away from where the battery is stored so I'm going to have to find away to fix that.

Anyone know of RV storage near Mobridge? Hell I'll even go out of town a little if I need to. Just need to find a place that can take my RV from April until Aug! Anyone looking for a 26 foot RV with heat/ AC shower, stove, frig and can sleep about 9 people? Really it's a nice RV and I would think about renting it out to some local AR15 brother during that time.

I've lived here in Mobridge for 53+ years, you will need to skirt your RV or you will be frozen solid. You better bring lots of ammo and be ready to shoot. I have sent you an IM.

Thanks! The RV I have is pretty low to the ground as is. I'm going to be only living in it for 36 days until I go off to NM for training. As for ammo I reload so I have a good stock pile and I'm bringing my reloading gear with me so I have something to do at night. I'll try giving you a call but not sure if I will have the time. I have been in bed sick since Tuesday with the flu and have a whole lot packing I need to get done. Thanks

You're gonna have issues with frozen pipes.

Though of that and I'm not going to add water to the pipes until it warms up a little. The place I'm going to has showers and I'm going to load a few of the 7 gal jugs I have up and take them with me.
