330 *weapons* found at Roselle home by Union County Sheriff's officers
I don't know. Must be that new math they are teaching in NJ public schools.
When I learned to add back in the 1970's, the math that put a man on the moon said: 15 + 10 + 3 + 4 = 32
330 weapons found at Roselle home by Union County Sheriff's officers
AND. The guy had them secured in a safe, precisely the way that the State wants him to. The article chose words that makes it sound like he was trying to hide them.
Have I mentioned lately how much I F––-ing HATE this state.
WAIT, they took weapons from the relatives house that didn't belong to the guy being served?
They must have taken every kitchen knife, utility knife, screw driver, hand axe, and paper clip (Ziva David knows 18 different ways to kill you with a paper clip) to get 330 "weapons."
And yes, they were not even the property of the person against whom the RO was sworn.
Let this be a lesson to all you young kids with room mates. Be careful who you are rooming with. It might cost you your 2A "privileges."
What do you expect living in "The Peoples Republic of New Jerseystan"??????

Bryan Miller is mentally disturbed, he would advocate the banning of letter openers if he did not believe anyone should have them.
Proof that he is not well:
His reply in the article comments section for you lazy arfcommers:
NJ's gun culture enabling extremist gun owners will never be happy until all communities are soaked to the gills with guns.
Why anybody needs a gun in this day and age is beyond common sense.
And why should we allow crackpots to amass weapons of mass destruction in our own backyards without oversight by neighborhood groups or the police?

Isn`t that why we have trailer parks?

Wow I feel bad for the roommate, he made the classic mistake never freely give out information. Deny everything, say nothing, demand proof. Had that guy not said anything I am sure he would have not had his personal property stripped out of his hands. I am sure it will be years before they ever make any determination on the legality of the property, and years more fighting to get the property back.
Sheriff Ralph Froelich said that neither man has been arrested on charges related to the weapons, but the serial numbers will be checked to make sure the weapons are owned legally.
Yeah, I'm sure that he will get each and every one of his weapons back in perfect condition.
(By the way, how do you check the serial number on a knife or sword?)

Every now an then they say something that gives us brief insight into the fact that NJ does indeed have firearm registration.
Maybe I am paranoid, but I think it happens when the FFL calls NICS and gives them you FPID and the serial numbers of the firearms.
"A restraining order or order of protection is a form of legal injunction that requires a party to do, or to refrain from doing, certain acts. A party that refuses to comply with an order faces criminal or civil penalties and may have to pay damages or accept sanctions. Breaches of restraining orders can be considered serious criminal offences that merit arrest and possible prison sentences. The term is most commonly used in reference to domestic violence, harassment, stalking or sexual assault."
I'd like to know what the restraining order was for. Why would he not be allowed to have any weapons. I guess he will have to cut his steak with a spoon.

The only information regarding the weapon you're purchasing given to NICS during the phone call is whether it's a handgun or long gun. However, handguns are effectively registered with the state via the pistol purchase permits.
and what the sheriff means by "the serial numbers will be checked to make sure the weapons are owned legally" is probably that they will be run through NCIC to check if they're stolen.
And the NCIC check will involve the ATF anytime a firearm trace is requested. Don't forget everyone, while nics does not collect any info other than type of firearm, there is the ATF 4473 which records ALL information pertaining to the firearm purchased. Even though these are kept by the FFL, they are required to retain them indefinitely, and if they ever close business, they are required to turn them ALL over to the ATF upon closing, so there is your registration.

Sorry although I'm in VA now I spent the first 21+ years of my lfe in NJ. For all those still in NJ, that guy is linked to something called cease fire nj, something you may want to keep an eye on to see what the anti gunners are up to. It makes me sick how they can accuse gun owners of being blind, rhetoric repeating zombies while doing the same thing. They talk about the "victims of the atomic bomb" ceremony but make no mention to pearl harbor or the Rape of Nanking.
Back on topic, this almost happend with my dad and DYFS. We took in a 16yo friend of the family when her dad kicked her out, and the woman from DYFS went nuts when she found out my dad had guns. My dad repeatedly asked her to not right down the location of the safe in her reports (she HAD to see it to ensure it was bolted down, cause someone that old would be capable AND stupid enough to knock over a 500lb safe) and she agreed with that, only to write it down later and turn it in (along with a paragraph making my dad sound like a nut). They came back with a posse of DYFS people who ended up siding with my dad. The whole NJ "gun culture" is so anti gun its sickining
