If you're buying a Saiga 12, there's a choice of 19 or 24 inch barrel lengths. Which is the most popular length for 3-gunning?

It won't make much difference. I would get the 19 but the 24 won't really hold you back.

The 19" is a little more compact and there's no advantage in the extra barrel length in 3-Gun, IMHO. I'd advise an external "Modified" choke for a little tighter pattern and more "knock down" on steel, plus you can still run slugs.

19" is a tad handier, and is what I have. The only advantage of a 24" barrel might be (1) it may be available cheaper due to lower demand, and (2) it is more likely to be legal to take overseas, such as to Europe, if you ever wanted to shoot in an international match.

The 24" I had breifly had a barrel that was choked itself to modified. My 19" with choke installed was 2.5" shorter. The 24" will work fine, it just looks weird IMHO.

If you're going to put a comp on it, def the 24".
My buddy has a 19" R&R Saiga and the hand guard feels a little cramped with the comp on.
