I purchased a Martin from BassPro several years ago after looking at all the Hoyt, Matthiews, ets. It was, if I remember correctly, approx $550 for it all. I have had great luck with it and it is USA made. I am sure there will be experts along soon to give you better advise, but I have had great luck with my Martin.

Look at the Mission line by Mathews they have different bow packages. Thats what I did and haven't looked back

my BIL just bought a Bowtech Assassin and I was very impressed with it. For the total cost of the bow vs. speed and smoothness I think its hard to beat.

Look for a used Redhead Kronic. These are made by Diamond/Bowtech and are great bows.
I have one I paid $225 for that was just a year old. It is quiet, consistent and very forgiving. These are sold by BassPro.  |

Hey, thanks for the replies guys. All very good advice. I spent quite a bit of the day (much to my wifes dismay) looking at bows and trying them out. I really liked some of the Diamond Bows like The Stud. However, I was also researching on line and I have to say that the Mission Bows look quite good too. I want to try one out before I really Pull the trigger on one.
BTW.... That Redhead looks great |

Measure your "wingspan" (tip of middle finger to tip of middle finger of outstretched arms), then divide by 2.5. Welcome to the world of archery.
