THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT  Rockcastle Shooting Center, the nation's premier shooting competition site is proud to team up with AR15.com and Brownells in announcing the second annual AR15.com/Rockcastle Pro-Am 3-Gun Championship. The match will take place August 24-26, 2012.
Accomplishing their goal of taking the popular 3-Gun format to the next level, the AR15.com/Rockcastle Pro Am will have two distinct and separate shooting competitions going on simultaneously. The nation's top 3-Gun professionals will compete over two and a half days running eight challenging and technical stages designed by former and current 3-Gun champions. Amateurs will compete over two days shooting seven similar stages on a separate course also designed by 3 Gun greats, but tailored especially for the amateur and celebrity competitors. Over 500 shooters, across both divisions are expected to participate.

Last year's Pro-Am was the best shooting event I've had the pleasure of competing in. I expect the the 2012 version will be even better. |

My registration number this year (for amateur) was #2! Can't wait! Last year's match was fantastic!
ETA: Even if you're not registered to shoot, you should come on down! There are side matches you can shoot and some good shopping too. Plus getting to meet guys like Jerry Miculek is just too cool to not come and do.  |

Last year had the custom Benelli stage, the CMMG machine gun stage, and let's not forget the Crimson-Trace Cave shoot; where else do you get to sprint through a cave 100' underground with a loaded handgun in total darkness and engage multiple targets as you go? Running with scissors is for pansies...
In addition there are vendor tents, and for the family there are all kinds of tourist attractions around (not to mention you're in cave country). |

I was on the waiting list for AM and am very happy to no longer be on that list. Looking forward to a great event like last year. Hopefully I'll be able to place a little better.
