Email sent to my Senators and Congeessman.
Dear ,
My name is IronMedic; I am a concerned citizen of your Congressional District. I am writing you due to a concerning piece of legislation that was recently “snuck” into the Cyber Security Act by Senator Chuck Schumer. This is a ban that was tried once before and never worked, and it will fail again. I also find it disgraceful that a Senator would try to “back door” this ban in something that has nothing to do with the issue. If it is something that Senator Schumer believes in he should start a bill that has this at the heart of the issue. This is typical political knee jerk reaction and underhanded tricks that has become all too common in politics. I have to agree that the tragedy in Aurora is just that….a tragedy. If the current laws have no effect on those that would perpetrate something like this do you think another law would? The inanimate object is not the issue, it is the person. I am a lifelong public safety professional who has seen many instances of violence with many weapons. But taking away the right that our founding fathers insured we have is totally unacceptable. I ask that you vote against this act and I will be watching closely for a response and how my representatives vote on this. I will also make sure that all my friends and family are apprised of this issue, your stance and how you vote. Thank you for your time. IronMedic |

Fellow Ohioans and Gun Owners....we need to contact our Senators about this. I just received this email in response to the one that I sent to Senator Brown (D) among my other representatives for my area. This is the kind of thing that the NRA helps us fight.....we need to flood their office and email with our disapproval on this issue. When we set back and don't speak out that is when we loose our rights.
Dear Mr. IronMedic: Thank you for sharing your thoughts about Senate Amendment (S.A.) 2575 to S.3414, the Cybersecurity Act of 2012. This amendment would ban the possession, importation, or sale of any high-capacity feeding device that holds more than ten rounds of ammunition. Anyone who lawfully possesses high-capacity magazines, belts, drums, or other feeding devices prior to the enactment of this legislation would still be legally allowed to own them, but they could not be sold. Additionally, future large capacity ammunition feeding devices — for use by law enforcement, for example — would be required to be identified by a serial number and other identification markings to indicate that the firearms was manufactured after the enactment of this legislation. Should this amendment or any similar legislation come before the Senate for a vote, I will keep your views in mind. Thank you again for getting in touch with me. Sincerely, Sherrod Brown United States Senator Stand up and fight......and support the NRA. (Thanks for this forum DirectAction) |
