I have 3 disassembled pmag rebuild kits, and I wanted to assemble two with a pmag magblock (http://magazineblocks.com/product_detail.php?pid=1) so I don't have to reload my 10/20 magazine after every empty mag at the range. My question is not about the law itself but people's general perception of it: CA law requires permanent alteration of the mag (in this case it would be epoxy sealer on the floorplate or roll pins etc). I don't want to have to permanently do that to my mags, so if I just had the mag block on would people in shooting ranges tend to care (I know there's no way of knowing everyone's opinion, but I just wanted to know if anyone in CA had any previous experience with this). Thanks for any input.

Thesecan be riveted inside of 20 round PMags, without drilling on the new ones.
Legality in your state however is up to you to look into |

That is the thing with the verbage. It's says permanent or you must use tools to disassemble.
Most people will say a rivet is permanent and others say you need rivets and epoxy. But the truth is that no one has taken it to court. At least that I am aware of. It is how you feel comfortable doing it. Some will even question your pmag "rebuild" kits. What part of the magazine is original preban? Because rebuild kits are to be used to repair/rebuild an existing preban mag. Everyone will give you legal advice but they will not be sitting next to you at the defendants table. Be smart and play it safe |

Some advice to the OP:
Since what you say in cyberspace is recorded forever, never ask in an online forum how to skirt around the law... |

Firearms are the hat trick for law enforcement huge fines huge sentances excellent press opportunity. It might seem trivial to you but its gold to them.

Compliance is not skirting around the law.
