THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Like the title says I was told of a local dealer that has a Saiga 12ga for under $450 I have been eyeballing this shotgun for a long time but the price is what has keep me back from owning one. Anyway I have a few questions about upgrades for this shotgun I know it's a great shotgun as is but I like to add comfort items or easy of use items. I'm guessing one of the most popular upgrades is getting the pistol grip and making it more AK like. What are some other good things to upgrade?

Also Mags and drum's who makes good ones for this shotgun? The two companies I have seen is Pro Mag and SGM are they any good? Also who has the best prices on drum's and 10 or 12 round mags? Also like to ask is how much less felt recoil is there with the Saiga? I'm use to shooting a Mossy 590A1. Also is there any type of ammo it does not like? Last what are some good sights to buy upgrades from?

Thanks for the help this will be my first AK type weapon unless he also has a nice Saiga in 223 and I find how to covert it to use AR mags.

Check out the Saiga 12 forum. You will want to do the pistol grip conversion. There are plenty of mods. Bolt hold opens, mag wells, rails etc etc. The best drums are made by MD arms. Wraithmaker drums are shit. Promag is usually shit as well.

Test fire it with your chosen ammo before you make any mods. If it does not run 100%, send it back to the importer and have them make it right. Way too many "Vodka Specials" out there, and people burning way too many calories fixing them.

Md arms for 20 round drums, I have one and its well made.

Promag does make a 12 round drum, its worth checking out since its much more compact.

AGP and SGM both make 10 round magazines for the S-12. I think the AGP have a spring steel feedlip, and SGM are all poly.

Never mind thanks for the help. Found out the shotgun was for $900 not the $450 I was told. I need to get a AR for the wife and son before I spend that type of money.

I'd wait on a Vepr12. I'm setting back a little at a time for one.
I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me and say "You're next". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals.
