THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT Already swapped out the sights and I'm adding some trigger parts too, gonna be a great carry gun option once I fully test it and get my Crossbreed ST holster for it. It will likely join my current Kahr PM9 and M&P9c as my EDC options. My only Glock right now and only my second ever (had a G29 10mm a few years back and sold it). Probably take it out Monday for a good wringing at the range. Can anyone tell me anything from my AAF serial number? Date of manufacture?

Replace the front sight, maybe the rears, and good to go. It's got service character, and you won't be afraid to use it as a tool instead of as a trophy. Good buy.

Picked up my pair today and they look very similar to yours.
Has a whole lot of holster wear and frame looks pretty beat up. There was some pitting on the outside of one of the barrels. The remaining internals look good. Just needs a good cleaning, new sights and trigger spring to replace the NY spring. |

That beat up gun is as beautiful as an oiled up bubble butt redhead. I love it.

Took out the NY Trigger spring, installed Sevigny Competition Rear and Carry Front Tritium sight, 3.5 lb connector, 6 lb. trigger return spring and added Agrip grip treatment, fits my hand like a glove now. The Glock 19 is just the perfect size gun, wish S&W made an M&P this size. (Excuse the carpet, it is my work bench carpet and not my home carpet)

I've been after a Gen2 19 for awhile now. I can't believe I miss the sale from AIM.
I would replace worn parts and keep it as is. Or you could sell it to me. Nice pistol OP. Merdoc |

I've got my pair stripped down to bare frame and slide on my kitchen table right now. Going to give it a very thorough scrubbing and inspection.
I will admit that it fits 10x better in ym hand than the gen 3. Not I just need to borrow my buddy's sight tool to get some new sights installed. |

if Glock would make a Gen 2 style frame with a rail, they'd likely see a surge in sales. the Gen 2 frame feels so much better it isnt funny

I believe that during the transition, that there could be some wierd combos. Definitely 2 pin Gen 3's. Also some Gen 3's with non LCI extractors. I don't know if there are any Gen 2 3 pins or LCI guns. Could be though. |

Here locally, you can't give a non railed Glock away.

Put 100 rounds through it today, ran perfect, but wouldn't you know......I had 1 piece of brass hit me right on the head. This must be this Glock 19's idea of a practical joke, making fun of the Gen 3 and Gen 4 problems.

I had the same issue. Had 3 or 4 hit me in the head, eye pro or chest.
Will upgrade the springs and see how it goes. |

Sweet. I've got one of the first 2nd Gen G19s made in Jan '88 I think. It was my EDC for several years.

It is good to have a dependable "knock-about" gun that you are willing to carry in the rain, on a boat, up a mountain or while performing hard, physical labor. I have a friend with a safe full of "perfect guns" that only visit the range...once in a while....if the weather is nice. |
