Ok, I know they aren't always the best guns. I've read the reviews and it seems like they are either great or suck...with that aside, I just picked up a very used Warthog from a friend (whom I trust). The slide looks like SH&* but he said he has put 150 rounds thru it problem free. I am thinking about having it duracoated or cerakoted or something (maybe rattle can painted..Kidding). Is it a keeper if I do this or should I unload it..I traded a Judge for it with a little cash...the cash was more of as a help to him...I didnt really want the judge anyway and thought this was cooler. anyone have one of these happy, not???advice???

A Warthog is about ten times no fifty times better than a Judge

I have had mine for about 7 years and I must have a good one as it has never misses a beat.

It is also the most accurate .45 that I own.

If you do pick one up do remember that the magazine grip extensions make the gun more comfortable and controllable to shoot. They are about $10 on Amazon.

I also just picked up a Hogue grip for it a couple of weeks back. Even better!

Check the frame for hairline cracks and change the recoil spring. Other than having to change the springs more often, they're really no different than any other 1911.
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Before you judge someone, walk a mile in their shoes...
That way, when you do judge them, you will be a mile away, and they will have no shoes.

Have about 350 rounds through mine. The Power extractor was problematic, have replaced it with the new HD extractor after first 100 rnds. Has been good since. As with any short barrel, trigger control is key to accracy. I think that PARA will refinish the older pistols with their new ion bond for you if you want to be without it for a while.
I really like mine and plan to carry it after I have 500 problem free rounds through, need to get to the range more.

$525 OTD would be a good deal, especially from a pawn shop. At that price, though, you should look at it very carefully.
