THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I just wanted to let ya'll know how happy I am with my Advantage Arms .22 Conversion that I got for my Para P14. It shoots, feels, looks Awesome! I think I paid some where around $260 for the conversion and purchased 5 Para Sized Magazines. Total Price with shipping was well into $400 I think close to $500. Off hand can't remember the actual price. I have the low end AR15.com member ship so I can't post pictures... http://www.advantagearms.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=AASOS&Category_Code=2011 For some reason when I ordered the conversion online from Advantage, I asked for the cheaper standard 1911 model. It runs the $260 and is about 100 bucks cheaper then the target model. I don't know why but the sent me the target model which is the nicer & more accurate model, but I initially wanted something that acted more like a 1911 for training purposes. Oh well... got the better one for the cheap price. I wonder if they are trying not to sell the Standard model? Really all I have is assumptions so I am not even going to guess as to why they wanted me to have the target model. You do have to pay close attention to what .22 bullet you use. Right now I am using CCI Mini Mags and have yet for FTF or FTE at around 250 rounds. Blazer or Federal will not work in these conversions. Don't even waste your time trying. ![]() For training purposes, I am noticing that the mags are not really heavy so you don't get the drop you would from a steel Para mag when the mag release is pushed. As well that could be due to the polymer magazine creating a higher co-efficient of friction between the interior of the mag well and the magazine itself. I can remedy this by adding some weight to the bottom of the mag base pad. Might be a good idea anyways if I am trying to mimic the weight and feel of a P14 mag. I am seeing really great accuracy. I am not a bench shooter so I can care less about how tight the grouping is but I can say that I can fire this gun really fast and keep every thing in circle! IT IS SOOOO FUN TO SHOOT!! IF any of you are considering a Conversion for your P14, feel free to email me and ask some questions. As it is for face value, I can say now that I think most of you will be very happy with Advantage Arms Regards JANDEN |

I am debating getting a glock for production class competition. If I do, I will definitely be interested in AA conversions for Glock.
Do you know if one of AA's Glock Conversions will fit a Glock 35? |

Oh and By The Way...
I had a mix up with Advantage Arms over the conversion magazines. I received STI mags with the kit. I didn't really notice until I assembled the receiver and installed it on the P14. Of coarse the mags were not seating properly in the mag well and I looked... sure as he** the mags were labelled STI mags. When I contacted AA about the mix up, they had me send in the STI mags and within a couple days I had para mags which worked properly. Everything is fine! Minus the shipping costs! I am still unsure as to how the mistake was made when I ordered from their site on-line. I am fairly certain I checked all the right boxes as to what I wanted. To tell you the truth, I don't really care if mistakes are made or who's fault it is. I more care that once the mistake is found, how quick and responsive are they to remedy the issue. Well they were very responsive and re-assured that with the right mags, everything would be roses! Janden |
