Hey guys, have a pvs14 on the way and was considering a surefire m952v for a weapon light. What are your thoughts on it as a weaponlight/IR illuminator?

Thanks,
Mark

I asked pretty much the same question earlier this week and got this response:

It seems like the Surefire m952v would be a good choice and you can often find one cheaply in the EE.

My only question that I still have, is using one with a Magpul AFG at the 9:00 position. Would a normal tailcap switch work better than the switch that comes with the m952v? If I want to run it in this position, what option is best?

Considering there are probably tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of this combo in the US military, I'd think they work pretty well together, but that's just me.

Love the light.
ONLY downside is the bulk.
