Very nice....

Which grip is that? Where can I get one?

I have the red Romainian grip and the black U.S. made grip for my SAR-1. Now I have a Soviet style laminated stock on it's way from Ironwood, it includes a wood grip but I'd like to have a Soviet plastic grip.

it's just a Russian grip. keep your eyes open in the for sale section. I just sold one yesterday... it was pretty well used though.

It doesn't look like it would based upon the slant cut filler. The filler could be just that, or it could be part off the assembly its hard to tell....

d90king, thanks

I've had this VEPR for years and I finally got around to finishing my build. It weighs about the same as a stock VEPR, but balances much nicer with the forward grip. The factory plastic VEPR furniture is very heavy.

The rail forend is Ultimak. The stock is an ACE AK stock with the folding stock mechanism. And a Falcon Ergo grip. I wrapped the metal frame with para cord too.ACE offers the stock adapter for almost any AK variant.
I have changed the angle of the stock base slightly by sanding it down, so the stock can be folded at the proper angle to allow the bolt clearance. So this gun can be fired with the stock collapsed.

I like it and generally I am not a fan of rails on AK's other than UM GT.... If UM would make a GT rail for a Vepr that would be tits. I would run one with a T1 like I do on my SGL and SA M7. Very cool rifle.

Here's my Saiga .223. It's (obviously) still a work in progress. I'm collecting the parts I need to convert it right now. Go easy on me, it's my first AK.

Here's the view through the improvised rear peep I made for the SGM Beryl rail... I couldn't imagine having no back up iron sights on a gun like this. I modified a rear aperture from a 995TS carbine to use on the rail and secured it with a brass pin and two-part epoxy. It sits just slightly higher than the factory leaf sight did and it co-witnesses with the front post perfectly. It's certainly not a precision setup but it shot good at 25 yards last week so I'm happy.

And the scope I tried using on it but quickly came to realize it sits too high and doesn't have adequate eye relief for use on an AK...

I just got my new Arsenal SGL21 in today and of course I had to get some pictures of it so I had my girlfriend help me and take some pictures and photoshopped some of them. I hope everyone likes.
